What to look for in natural skin care products.

Carrier Oils & Butters

Carrier oils are used to dilute essential oils before applying them to the skin; offering a variety of benefits. Butters are natural fats extracted from seeds and nuts, each with their own therapeutic qualities.

  • Sunflower Oil: Loaded with vitamins A, B, D & E, minerals and lecithin, this is an unbeatable skin conditioner.
  • Neem Oil: Rich in fatty acids, Neem Oil has excellent moisturizing abilities and is particularly beneficial for very dry and excemic skin.
  • Pumpkin Seed Oil: Extremely nourishing for all skin types with high vitamin and mineral contents.
  • Natural Cocoa Butter: Yes, it is extracted directly from the cocoa bean and smells wonderful. Cocoa butter is moisturizing and healing to the skin and is effective in reducing the formation of stretch marks by keeping the skin supple.
  • Mango Butter: An exotic butter high in antioxidants, it is believed to protect against UV rays and aid in skin regeneration.
  • Shea Butter: Renowned for its protective qualities. Shea butter is excellent for aiding with skin problems including dry skin, psoriasis, burns, blemishes, eczema, wrinkles and stretch marks.

Essential Oils

Essential Oils are a compliment in natural skin care products.

  • Carrot Seed: Considered one of the best essential oils for mature skin - removes toxins and water build up in skin giving a fresh, firm appearance. Improves complexion because of its strengthening effects on red blood cells. Excellent for eczema and psoriasis. A MUST HAVE in you're your facial care line and everyday creams and lotions!
  • Bergamot: Excellent for dry and excemic skin (plus benefits those with depression and stress)
  • Pink Grapefruit: A natural toner, purifies congested, oily and acne prone skin.
  • Lavender: Most commonly associated with healing of the skin, particularly for healing burns.
  • Frankincense: Assists in rejuvenating skin, giving new life to aging skin and aiding in the minimization of wrinkles.
  • Rosewood: is known for its tissue and cell regeneration properties and is very helpful with skin that is dry, sensitive, inflamed and is beneficial in combating the aging process.
  • Rose: Wonderful for all skin types, especially mature, dry and sensitive skin. Also aids in treatment of broken thread veins.
  • Chamomile: German Chamomile contains Azulene, a powerful anti-inflammatory agent that makes this essential oil excellent for those with psoriasis and hypersensitive skin.

Botanicals

Botanicals are plant extracts used in skin care for their therapeutic value.

  • Green Tea: Rich source of anti-oxidants, such as Vitamin C & E, helps in the repair of effects of aging and environmental factors.
  • Cucumber: Calm and cooling provides skin tightening and anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Seaweed: Rich source of vitamins, minerals and amino acids. Is excellent for detoxifying the skin, and for treating acne when used in a facial mask.
