Plastics

There's a growing concern and confusion about the chemicals used to make everyday plastic products. Which ones to use? What is better for me, my family and the environment?

Health Canada has concerns with some of the raw materials used to make plastics (e.g. Bisphenol A or BPA) while the plastics industry says their products are safe and not linked to any longer term health problems.1/2 As one noted journalist who researched BPA for an article says “ I find it an incredible challenge to determine if low-level exposure to this chemical is harming my daughters' reproductive health .”3

With this in mind, we're going to try to sort out the information for you.
